This Tour in the Public Interest will focus on illuminating the history of wine culture in Italy,
beginning with its debut during the time of the Etruscans and leading up to the present day.

Lead by two of Context’s wonderful docents, Benedetta Bessi, an archaeologist, and Daniela
Paris, a sommelier, we will begin by examining several relevant artefacts at the National
Etruscan Museum at the Villa Giulia, and finish with a tasting of three wines from the Ceveteri Doc zone of Lazio.

We look forward to seeing you at

Wine and Archaeology: A Cultural Symposium!
