CEIS - Centre for Economic and International Studies, Faculty of Economic, University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and BAICR Consortium are pleased to announce the first Summer School in Economics of Culture that will be held in Rome from 19th to 30th October 2009.
The event is a ten days intensive course designed for graduate students and professionals interested in Economics and Management of Culture and related issues. All courses are taught in English by international and Italian professors and experts from different Universities and Institutions.
The program is designed to provide the audience with both a global view of the "cultural system" and specific disciplinary insights from management to product design an organization of cultural activities. Participants will have the chance to gain understanding, skills and useful instruments and to upgrade their knowledge, exchange information, share opinions and discuss good practices.
Classes include 3 thematic modules:
The Economics of Cultural Goods (P. L. Scandizzo) - October 19th – 21st
Management of Culture (A. Hinna) – October 22nd, 23rd, 26th
Marketing And Communication (F. Severino) – October 28th-30th
The maximum number of participants is limited to 40.
Registration fee for the Summer School is 500 Euros and includes a final certificate of attendance.
Registration for one single module is 200 Euros.

Special rate for hotel accommodation will be facilitate by CEIS. (23 Euros p/p in a shared room; 46 euros p/p for single room, breakfast included).
